I have been out this evening for a run, I managed 1.3 miles, tomorrow Zumba and Thursday a 10.5 mile bike ride. Since Christmas I havent really done much exercise but I am going to get back into it!!

The challenge this week over on the MDUC is to "Create a project in the colours of your National Flag"..... this may be tricky for some.... but we KNOW you are all up to the challenge! We do ask that you note in your blog post the colours that feature on your flag so we can see them clearly in your card.

I struggled to find papers for this challenge, as most of my papers contain pink!! I had to dig deep for these :) I think the blue dotty one is from a Nitwit Collection and the red is an old Magnolia paper.

Its a bit breezy here this morning, looks like we might be in for a spot of rain later on. I have a stew in the oven, it smells lush, I've just made the dumplings ready to go in very shortly, mmmm.

This little lovely landed on my doorstep on Friday, so it would of been rude not to use her :), you can't see very well in the photo but I have used a little bit of cheesecloth fabric and lace just to the left of the image.

Over on TOMIC this week the challenge is "Monochromatic pink + bow". This week we want you to use pink as your main color on your creation. You can use touches of other colors too but be sure that pink remains the main one. We also want you to use a bow somewhere on your creation, it can as an embellishment, a chipboard, a ribbon, a charm, etc...

This is just up my street, it is my favourite colour, a girl can never have enough pink!! I have even used some more old stash!

Bonfire Night

I had a busy day yesterday, my mum and I went of to the NEC for the international cake show, normally we go to the Craft show but thought we would have a change, I didn't buy a lot really, just some cake pop sticks and melts to have a go at making some cake pops. I have seen these on lots of american blogs and have always liked them so thought I would have a go.

We always have family around on bonfire night to have burgers, sausages and chilli, we made a huge chilli, it went down well. We then all went off to a fireworks display, I love fireworks, it wasn't as good as usual but it was still ok, took a few photos on my iphone,

This week on the Magnolia hAnglar and sTanglar blog it's a Special Monthly Challenge which means the theme is "ANYTHING GOES". We have added the option of "PEARLS AND LACE" if you would like.

I thought I would make a christmas gift bag and I've also used pearls and lace.

Hasn't it been a gorgeous weekend, we went for a walk yesterday in the woods and it was glorious. I haven't ventured outside today, I've been adding new stock to the shop and catching up with the washing!!

Over on the TOMIC the challenge this week is Magnolia Forever! Use a sitting Tilda or Edwin and at least one DooHickey die cut, I have had the new Magnolia Fall Stamp set for a few weeks, the stamps are gorgeous, I have used Tilda sitting for this card and I have also used the Wassail BG paper pad.

This year I wanted to get ahead with my Christmas cards, but so far I have only managed 2, I think I need to get a wiggle on. Enjoy the rest of the sunshine.

It is such a beautiful day today, the sky is blue the sun is shining, it makes you feel like we are in the middle of summer!

Here is the birthday card I made for my daughter Sofie last week, oh to be 16 again!

Good Morning Bloggers, I can't believe it's that long since I last blogged!! We spent 18 fantastic days in the South of France, I didn't want to come back, the weather was glorious, food was yummy, so relaxing, it's taken me all week to catch up on bits and bobs. Well it certainly looks like the rain is here to stay today.

I have had lots of restocks this week and some gorgeous new goodies arrive in the shop

New Printer

Whoo Hoo I have a new printer and now I can print Digi Images, whenever I printed images off on my old printer I couldn't then colour with copics as it smudged.

I am now the proud owner of a Epson Stylus PX720WD and it's fab :)

I have been searching for digi stamps and papers for the last couple of hours.

I've tidied my craft room, added lots of gorgeous stock to the shop and I've also managed a birthday card as well today, although I still have a massive list of things to do!

Hasn't the weather been lovely again, although it is not as warm as it was during the Easter holidays its still been beautiful. Can you believe we are in May already where is the year disappearing to!

Normally I always double mount but i cut the patterned paper the same size as i would the bazzill paper and i had already tied the ribbon and lace around before i even realised!!

Vintage Candle

Hasn't it been a lovely day, I have been inside all day having a huge clearout of the spare bedroom, so when i eventually walked to the PO to post some orders, I couldn't believe how warm it was, let's hope it continues all week.

I have a welsh dresser in my dining room and was bored with all the bits and bobs that i had on it so i decided to embellish it with all vintagey type things, here is a candle that I have altered. (sorry the lights not very good).

The pearl type things I got from Dunelm and just pulled them apart, there are loads and loads on one stem. I have little glass jars of vintage type buttons, distressed wicker hearts and all sorts of scrummy things on there, it can be easily changed when I get bored again!

Paris

I know it has been a while!!, we have had a lovely 6 day break in Paris, DH ran the marathon, the weather was so so hot, he finished it in 4hrs 20 mins although he was a little disappointed as he wanted to finish it in under 4 hours but due to how how it was he couldn't manage it. We also had a day a disney which is always fantastic and a few days sight seeing.

We are also off to London today to watch the marathon, let's hope it is not as hot as it was in paris for the runners.

We went to see Gnomeo and Juliet 3D yesterday, it was a lovely film, well worth watching it.

It's been rather a miserable day here today, all drizzly and cold, I've sat in my craft room with my music up full blast :), not that i have really achieved much, but i did manage to tick another 2 jobs off of my to do list, and I've got a lovely piece of beef and all the trimmings in the oven.

Wasn't it rather chilly today, in my quest to keep fit I cycled 5 miles, I haven't been on my bike for months but I'm hoping to cycle most days.

I'm just catching up with last Mojo Monday's sketch, I love these papers, they are so glittery and pretty, i have used the TH tattered flower die and also the rolled flower die.

I also treated myself to a few of the new LOTV stamps that have been released today, they are so cute!

I hope you all had a fab christmas, didn't it fly by, can you believe it's already a week into January.

I have started off this year trying to be super organised, I now have a list book :) and I write everything in it that needs to be done and on what day, I am so a procrastinator, a friend of mine gave me an article to read out of the free waitrose magazine about procrastinating and that it is better to work on goals in small chunks, it advises you just to do 15 minutes of your task and after that time to completely stop, the key is to make a huge task or a small one that you hate seem manageable, i will be starting this from today (i now mean tomorrow as i have failed today :)

As the sun was shining today i thought i would go for a bike ride, i havent really got back into biking properly after coming back from our summer holiday, have only been out the odd time, so decided i must start today while its not raining! I managed 7.5 miles, I am going to try and do something everyday!!

Here's another Magnolia card i have managed to make, the prima green flowers don't look as bright as that in real life! I think i will be using this stamp can be used for birthday's as well as christmas. The dragonfly die was a recent purchase, but i've dropped it behind a unit in my craft room and now need to get DH to move the unit so i can find it, how annoying!

This is also a new stamp from Magnolia, this is the first time i have inked her up, the papers are from last year, , I absolutely loved them and couldn't bring myself to use them, I love these colours together, but whats the point in just sitting and stroking them :), the little burgundy berries are from Dunelms, £4.99 for 2 branches they have load of berries on them, they have a lovely texture and look as if they have frost on them.

DH is just carving the pumpkins for later, DS is going to a halloween party later so i have just ripped his t-shirt added a mixture of mud and fake blood to it, it does look rather zombiefied!!

The sun is shining again and it is a beautiful day, I have just managed a quick 5 miles on my bike, I haven't really been out much since we have been back from our holiday at the end of August, it's surprising how quickly your fitness levels drop, so i am determined to get back into it, I am going to try at least 25 miles a week plus 1 aerobics class!!

Glorious Day

Yesterday we went to Holkham, we had never been before, we had the most delicious beer battered fish and chips from the Victoria Hotel Restaurant, followed by a scrummy brownie with praline ice cream :), we then took a walk on the beach and then toodled on home, it was lovely and relaxing.

The sun is shining today, the gorgeous autumnal conker tree leaves continue to fall from the tree, they are glistening as they glide down to the ground. The leaves inspired me to add a mini mulberry flower kit to the shop - Autumnal Treasures.

This gorgous stamp arrived in the week, but i didn't have time to ink it up, I managed a quick card this morning following the sketch over on The Sweet Stop. I added lots of stickles to the flowers, you can never have enough sparkle :)

Don't you just love this stamp, I made this card a while back but forgot to blog it, I find colouring with the red copic's quite difficult, i find it hard to shade with them, all my red pens seem to be quite juicy, maybe it's just me :) I seem to be using a lot of the same colours in my card making recently, I must try and use other colour combinations that i wouldn't normally use. As I'm sitting here typing, there is a very bushy tailed squirrel in my garden with the biggest conker in his mouth you have ever seen, he has just scurried up the conker tree! what a fab site :)

Another rainy day here, it looks like it is here to stay for the day, the conker tree in our garden is looking slightly bare and the leaves are cluttering up the lawn although i do love the colours this time of year.

I think i will be trying to organise my craft room today!

Here is a quick card I have made using a LOTV stamp, don't you think she is so cute. The sentiment is a stamp i found from last year, I have stickled the flowers to give them a little bit of extra sparkle, i love making christmas cards.

I also made this card for a sketch over on Kathsy Sketch File a while back, but i forgot to blog it, i love this sketch and think i will be using it alot.

I hope you all had a good weekend, i seemed to have spend most of it pottering around and not actually achieving anything. Yesterday i made 2 batches of cupcakes as a trial run as it is my daughters 15th birthday on Wednesday and she wants cupcakes prettied up on to the cupcake stand, the first batch was a chocolate cupcake which was way to sweet, i wont be following that recipe again, the second was a lemon cupcake which was delicious and will definitely be doing that one on Wednesday.

I stumbled across this shop a few weeks ago, some of the projects are fab you can view them in the gallery, you can use some of their stamps with the nestabilities, i just love the Rescue Remedies set, i've used MME papers they are to scrummy for words, they are full of sparkly glitter!

The leaves on our conker tree are turning a yellow/brownish colour and the conkers are beginning to fall, it is a really pretty season with all of those gorgeouse autumunal colours. It was fairly warm this afternoon so DH and i decided to go on a bike ride, before we went on holiday i was cycling up to 50 miles a week, since we have been back in 3 weeks i have only managed 30 miles, today we managed to cycle 10.7 miles just before the heavens opened, i do hate the rain it plays havoc with my hair sending it into a wavy/curlish mess :)

Here's another Ladybug Crafts ink stamp, this one is Winestool Nikki, i just love these colours together.

I'm still running behind with Shimells class but hope to catch up before the end of the month!!

The weekend at last, it's not to bad here today, a bit breezy but i can see a little bit of blue sky, haven't much planned this weekend, I need to catch up on a few cards, i also feel a little trip coming on to Ikea, i really could do with some nice storage for my craft room.

I have been trying to do Shimelle's Learn Something New class, as usual i am a little behind, but I am hoping to catch up today.

I know its been a while since i last blogged, i seemed to have lost my mojo for a while. I hate it when that happens, I couldn't really get into anything, i made the odd customer card but that was about it. I bought loads of new stamps and papers and they just sat on my desk!! My mojo has finally returned and I have made a few cards, I also have some fabulous new stamps in the shop by Ladybug Crafts Ink, they are too scrummy for words!!

We have recently returned from our fab holiday in the South of France, beautiful hot sunny days on the beach with the magnificent views, yummy barbecues and just generally relaxing it was fabulous, then we come back to rain, although today is a beautiful day, lets hope its stays like that for the weekend.

It's still been quite warm here today, not as sunny as yesterday, I wish I was sitting on the beach in Biarritz :)

I love those crepe paper flowers that i've seen on different blogs so i went and bought a few different crepe colours.

I used the nestablilities scalloped circle to cut the shapes with, these all have 10 layers.

The turquoise flower I sprayed with glimmer mist, it doesn't really show up in the photo, it gives it a slight shimmer.

The pink one i dipped it into my distress inkpad

and this one i have added a little bit of extra sparkles - stickles in star dust.

I will definitely be making some more.

Hasn't it been a gorgeous weekend, the weather has been glorious, my sister had a bbq yesterday with lots of yummy food and we have had one today. I love bbq season.

I have always found photographing ribbons to be a real pain, i've never been able to show them off to their full potential, i've had another play around today, what do you think?

This week over on Just Magnolia Challenge Blog the challenge is “One for the Girls” – so the perfect excuse to get out all your girly papers, ribbons and embellishments and make pretty. This is a perfect challenge for me, i love anything girly :)

Can you believe that i have blogged 4 days in a row!!

It's been quite nice here today, when the sun shines it's quite warm.

I've managed another card today, i'm afraid its pink and green again, I have used pink so much that I have run out of RV10 again, so have just ordered another one, obviously a few more copics jumped into my basket :), they are like Magnolias very addictive!!

Wasn't it cold at the weekend, i just couldn't get warm. Even this morning the car was very icy, i don't like the cold mornings.

While blog hopping i came across this gorgeous tissue paper flower, it was really simple to make. I used my nestabilities scallop circles and cut out 4 in red tissue paper and 2 out from patterned paper, i used a page from an old french book, next pierce the middle and put a brad in then scrunch all the layers up (it does look really messy), carefully open them to how you want, they look fantastic on projects and i have used them on lots of different things.

Where has the week gone? Its flown by again, i've been busy trying to be organised this week, i'm determined to do things straight away instead of prograstinating all the time!!

I hope you all had a good weekend. I wanted a catch up this weekend but you know when you are just not in the right mood to do those things that you should be doing and then on Monday morning you really wished that you had made a start, well i have an order of 36 cards to make, but i just couldn't get started. Its been snowing all day to day but just hasn't settled, thank goodness!

I have taken stock of some gorgeous new card candy which can be found here.

I have altered this little box from WH Smith that i bought in the sale, I needed somewhere to keep all my stamped images, I want to try and colour a few images so i always have them ready to make a card with. The pearl and the ribbon tied through the buttons have been recycled from christmas crackers :)
